Hub Terms

Last updated: 1 November 2026

Licence

Hub from the Mac App Store is licensed to you under Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These pages explain how Hub's subscription works. They do not replace Apple's agreement.

The subscription

When a subscription ends

Hub keeps working with everything already in it. You can still open every hub, file, link, email and session, change what is there (statuses, colours, stars, reminders, next steps, names), tick tasks, write notes, add to a project's log, remove things, use the focus clock and the calculator, and make backups and the iCloud copy. Adding new hubs, files, links, Claude sessions, tasks, meetings and emails needs a subscription. Nothing you have put in Hub is locked away.

Your projects

Your hubs are files on your Mac, and they are yours. Hub links to your files where they are; it does not move or change them, with two exceptions you ask for: an email you drag in from a mail app is saved as a copy in your emails folder, and an email you download from Gmail is moved from Downloads into that folder. Keep backups of anything important; Hub can make a full backup for you (Settings, Backups).

Other apps

Hub can work alongside the Claude app and Claude Code if you have them. They are products of Anthropic, under Anthropic's own terms. Hub is not made by, affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic.
